Vicky + Jordan at The Exchange 1856 | August 2026
“A perfect fun day”
Vicky and Jordan are all about having a good time. Vicky works for an airline and I swear she’s always on holiday. She was on a last-minute holiday about four days before the wedding. They got engaged on holiday. They love a drink, they love a dance, they know how to have fun.
And so they wanted their ceremony to feel chilled and fun. As it should!
To set that tone, as I welcomed guests as they arrived upstairs to take their seats they had their pick from an array of brightly-coloured mini shot bottles - tequila rose, amaretto, spiced rum, limoncello - drinks to hold onto ‘til a group cheers to the newlyweds later in the ceremony. FUN.

While discussing ideas for their ceremony, Vicky, Jordan and I also added in a surprise ring bearer. But, in a slightly different approach, sweet wedding planner Becca (love her) and I actually hid three ring boxes on the day.
Because not only did we have a surprise ring bearer planned, there was another level of surprise element first.
First surprise: you discover you are one of a handful of guests who have a box under their chair.
Second surprise: as the boxes are opened - Deal or No Deal-style - you discover the other two boxes just have drink vouchers and you - alone - have the wedding rings. Slightly chaotic fun. I loved it.
I was nervous to be in charge of this historical manuscript
One of my favourite parts of Vicky and Jordan’s ceremony, in the sun-soaked upper room at The Exchange 1856, was the moment I was able to produce - for their guests’ enjoyment - written proof that these two have always been all in.
While talking about what they love about each other, and just before they exchanged vows, I showed everyone the handwritten contract they had signed, a mere two weeks into their relationship. A rather adorably scrappy bit of lined A4 (above) on which they’d promised to “do life together for the rest of eternity”; evidence of how in sync they are, and always have been. Since the very start.
In their marriage vows I got them to repeat after me:
“I give you this ring as a sign that we will do life together for the rest of eternity.”
Commitment comes in all guises, all shapes and sizes, and now these two love birds have two wedding rings to add to their A4 contract. And a beautiful, surprising, fun life ahead.
